use this program for finding your pc specs - PC wizard

just post as screenshots

your info isn't enough. Is your comp made by gateway or is a prebuilt factory system? can you post the name of it too?

your processor is runnig about 20 degrees celcius too hot for idle for one thing. you should re apply some thermal paste and make sure your heat sink is seated properly

sorry I had a hard week of work and I didn't reply sooner

can you tell me what your psu says on the side of it? wattage and name of it?
after that we can figure out if you should get a new psu but i wouldn't get anything too fancy since your bottleneck will be your cpu. so lke a low end 8000 series graphics card.

Re: Help to Upgrade from 5600XT

According to the info he provided he has an agp slot. And since its a fairly old computer I would stick to the older high end agp cards like the ati x1950 or the geforce 7950. Both will require 550w or higher psu's with 18amps on the 12v rail. Don't bother with the newer agp card like the 3850 as I think your pc is most likely to old to support it as they require specific bios updates to function.
