video full screen stretch problem
there are black borders on left & right side when i watch my video on full screen mode. i have tried using windows media player, real player, etc but still the same. how to fix this? i use dell inspiron 1420 & nvidia geforce 8400m gs.

using one of those programs you mentioned. use your monitor menu controls and move thoses borders out. your monitor has two settings. one for lets say Windows and one called A DOS Screen which is what we use for games mostly.

Hi Erik,
I suggest the VLC media player. It's free, and very versatile. When you use VLC, go to menu selection for Video, the drop down will have listing for aspect ratio (also cropping) you can experiment with them to see which meets your needs best.
