8800 gtx issues

Hi all, today i purchased a bfg 8800 gtx, upgrading from a bfg 7900 gto and 10 mins into crysis my pc shuts off like someone switched it off . So i tried updating some drivers (mobo, gpu) but no change. system shuts off after usually 5 - 20 mins of gameplay, i thought it might be psu related but nvidia says the card needs 450 watts and i have 550 so im not sure what to do from here, any help would be appreciated

specs
titan 550 watt psu, m2n mcp61 mobo,amd x2 6000+ @ 3.1 ghz, bfg 8800 gtx idle-60c load-70c

Re: 8800 gtx issues

ehh so I guess the lowest you can go with the 9800gx2 is a 600w. Thats pushing your luck, I'd say
