Trouble Uninstalling Old Drivers
I recently bought a GeForce 8600 GT.
The first step in the hand book was to uninstall old video drivers. I went into the Add/Remove programs and removed them/Restarted PC. I then went into the control panel - Display - Settings - Advanced - (this is where things got weird) the book says the next option would be to click Change - then follow the hardware wizard. Well the only thing I can click on is "properties" - then that takes me to additional options to uninstall the drivers. - I click uninstall and it tells me to restart. I do this - however once the computer is restarted the intel drivers are still there. When I try to use the CD that came with the video card it says "The VGA detected seems not XFX's product. Please go to www.nvidia.com to get the driver for the NVIDIA VGA. Any help would be appreciated. |
