Re: budget card?
Hi, if you don't need DirectX-10 then look at the Radeon X1950 Pro and GeForce 7900GS.
If you do want DX10 then get a Radeon 3850. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139617 If using Windows XP on your build, remember that 2GB memory is more than enough. Last edited by Houndog777; 08-24-2008 at 05:23 PM. |

Re: budget card?
so im thinking..
8600gt at only £50 give or take or around £140-160 margin.. 8800gt < 1gb DDR3 or 512gb (DDR3 with adaptor.) ASUS 8800 EVGA 8800 Last edited by ypkx; 08-25-2008 at 07:26 AM. |

Re: budget card?
Hi again YPKX
You'll find plenty of Intel based boards that are Crossfire ready! http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfirex...nents.aspx?p=2 And that Radeon 3850 512MB is only £50 ......and much better than an 8600GT. nVidia drivers don't like an ATI Chipset, and vice versa, so maybe that's caused the confusion. Stick to your budget and get what you need, not what you "wish". |
