Re: video card problem?
Hi, sounds like a background program or service has interrupted it. (I hate them)
You have the same OS as myself, and I get stalled by my AV trying to update itself, Windows Defender doing whatever it does, Windows Update trying to get online or when I'm online starting to "check-in", Windows Media Player checking itself etc etc etc..... Turn off/disable what you don't need whilst gaming. |

Re: video card problem?
Thanks - realised myself afterwards that I'd been connected to the net, however, when I came out of the game the connection had been dropped. Have a crappy wireless connection that needs no phone line but it hangs and drops out all the time and that might have caused an issue if it crapped out while I was playing, or as you say it could have been Norton AV doing something. Hasn't stalled again since so I think it was just a one off.
