Hey Guys, I've got a problem and i'm failry new at video card installs. I bought a Diablotek Ati Radeon 7500, it's an AGP 4X with 128mb of memory. The Driver CD it came with is for OS 95 up to 2000. I'm Running a Windows XP Pro, i'm not too sure about the service pack.
Now this is where my problem kicks in. I went to download the XP Radeon 7500 Driver from Ati's Website. Catalyst 6.11 is what i downloaded. When i started it, everything went well, until i had this error saying - Severe - Inf Error, Video Driver Not Found. - Setup was unable to complete the installation. try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup. After that, I tried the omega driver for the Radeon and they don't work. Now i dunno if it's a technical issue or what, a bug or something, but i'd really like to get this card to work if someone can help me. -Viral |

Re: Driver Help For Diablotek Ati Radeon 7500
Hi, Viral Warrior
Did you uninstall any & all previous video/graphics drivers from Add or Remove Programs and Restart before installing the fresh drivers? Did you Start in VGA Mode? (Press F8 during boot to access the Advanced Startup Options) Did you disable/stop all non-Microsoft programs and services, like anti-virus for example, before install? If not, then try it. |
