I just recently upgraded my graphics card to the VisionTek Radeon 4850. Everything seems alright, except when I load a game or a system intensive video (Itunes videos play fine). I get a constant beeping (a higher beep followed by a lower beep both about equal length) it stops as soon as i either minimize the game or stop the movie.

Not only this, but the fans in my computer seem even more inconsistent in their speed (I assume speed, really im just going by how they change volume constantly now, with no provocation). Its always been a loud machine, and it changed pretty randomly, but now its constantly in flux, and usually with nothing happening to make the system any more stressed (the fans are changing volume constantly as I type this), even when nothing is happening at all.

I dont know really whats causing it, I opened the case and it doesnt feel like anything is running too hot, even during the game. My total wattage on my PSU is 460W, which should be enough. Ill give my specs below, but I am completely dumbfounded as to why its beeping. Today I tried to just ignore it (playing World of Warcraft, not a very system intensive game), game ran fine for at least an hour but then i saw some choppiness which may not even be related to the problem, but i immediately logged off.

Again, have no idea whats causing this, and I am pretty computer illiterate when it comes to whats going on inside the machine. I tried to do a search for any clues but nothing seems to really match an answer for me. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, what's the amperage for the +12V rail on the power supply.
For a 4850 should be about 30A at least. (you'll find this info on the sticker on side of PSU)
What's the manufacturer & model of this power supply.
Do you have ample case cooling?
