We just got a new video card for an HP running windows XP media center edition. The motherboard has a PCI-express slot that the old card came out of but we got a plain PCI card to use. The new card works on another computer thats older, but not on this one. Now, even the original card we took out isn't working. The only card working is the oldest one we have, from a windows 98 computer. Please help us. We don't know whats wrong, or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
The new card is a PMY Verto Gforce 8400 GS Thanks so much! Mary And Dave |

Re: Trouble with PCI card on PCI-Express Motherboard-PLEASE HELP!
Hello, welcome to TSF. Go into the BIOS and check that you have the the video boot option set to PCI-E instead of PCI. If PCI-E is selected and the 8400GS doesn't work then do a CMOS reset and try with it again.
