Help with 1950XT

A friend recently gave me a working 1950XT as he just upgraded, but I am having trouble getting it working. When I plug it in and turn it on I get a screen of randomly changing colors. I am thinking that there may be something physically wrong with the card but I have no idea how I would figure that out. Any help would be great and ask me any questions you need.

Re: Help with 1950XT

Does the card have a slot at the back for a power connector to plug into it?

Re: Help with 1950XT

Those two ends are molex or 4-pin, no? You need to connect it to the leads from the power supply. They are the same power connectors as the ones for the hard drive or dvd drive, but two of them get combined for the video card.

Re: Help with 1950XT

There should be leads or cables that can plug into it. They look similar to the ones that is plug into the hard drive.

Re: Help with 1950XT

I was using an X1600 previously.

In the back there are two DVI Ports and another hole, its round and black with 10 or so holes in it. Is that for a power cable? If so, where would I be able to get one of those?
