Hi,
I have a brand new PC with an ASROck motherboard and a Asus GEForce8400 GS card. I installed winXP with SP2 pack. My problem is the following: All videos (in Media player; Media player Classic) show a sort of green shade and not the right colors when I use a user account that has not administrator rights. If I open the nvidia control panel and try to play a video in the media player the colors are Ok. I close the control panel and try to play the same video then I get the green shaded video. This does not happen in a user account with administrator rights. If I give administrator rights to a limited account with this problem, the videos are Ok. I uninstalled the mega pack video codec; I downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia. I tried to install a previous version of the drivers. No luck at all. Nothing found in nvdida site on this. I'm stuck. Any hints? Thanks |

Re: Nvidia 8400GS video colors problems
I installed the codec pack from the admin account. However even with the codec pack uninstalled I have the same problem. So it is not the codec pack. As I mentioned, having the nvidia control panel opened the videos run ok. But I will try what you suggest. Thanks
