removed needed program!!! ATI
so i got this new game SporeTM Creature Creatore.
I played all day yesterday it was sooo much fun! but today when i went to play it, it wouldn't open. SO i thought maybe i didnt have enough room. I went to the ADD/REMOVE programs. I deleted the ATI unkowing of what it is. now whenever i try to oppen spore it says: Could not creat the Graphics Devive. Direct X is unavailable. [1002] |

Hey devilonski360 and welcome to TSF...
Could u provide us with system specifications??? What make/model is ur graphic card??? Visit manufacturers Web Site and download latest graphic drivers... Uninstall old graphic drivers... Restart PC... Install Direct X 9.0c U might need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 so u can install graphic drivers... Install new [downloaded] graphic drivers.. Restart PC... I hope this will help u mate... Report back please... |

well i looked on the red thing in my computer.... which i am geussing to be the ATI driver thingy. this is what it said: VisionTek and then a whole bunch of numbers.
i have windows XP and went to the website given and i couldnt find what to do or anything..... =[ im really bad at this |

hey again,
go START > RUN... > type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter... Under Display check what make/model is your graphic card... Or you can try like this: go START > RUN... > type DXDIAG and hit Enter... Click Yes... On display tab what is model of your graphic card??? This could be visible if drivers for graphic card is not completely removed... We must know what make/model is graphic card... We know it is ATI but we need to know more... Also, on graphic card there should be white sticker or something similar that points what model is [like X1550Pro, HD2600 etc...] Report back please... |
