video card upgrade

Good evening, and thanks in advance for any help here.
I would like to upgrade my video and power supply for gaming. My specs are

Mother board MSI MS-7191 v1.x Micro-ATX Mainboard
CPU x86 Family 15 Model 47 Stepping 2 AuthenticAMD ~1994 Mhz
Radeon X300 video card
300 watt power supply
Mother board has one PCI Express x 16 and 3 32 bit PCI slots

I would recommend a power supply of at least 500-600 watts and perhaps an EVGA card in the 8-series family. Or another equivalent brand card in the same performance specs.
