weird lag that i usually dont have

Hey guys I play World of Warcraft and i usually get around 70 fps when i play. I recently reformated my computer, and reinstalled my WOW start playing and now i get 5 fps. I am currently using a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT. I do not know what is causing this kind of lag, people were telling me that maybe i have the wrong drivers, but i went to the NVIDIA website and downloaded my driver. I also downloaded Direct x9.0 but i am still experiencing lag.

I just found out that my computer is also running slower than usual. Maybe that is the cause. When i look at my System Properties in General it tells me...

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 994 MHz. 2.00 GB of RAM

But it is supposed to be...

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.2GHz 2.00 GB of RAM

Maybe that could be the problem? can someone help me please ASAP this has been frustating for a whole week and i can't figure out the problem.
