My System

How hot might this (linked) EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB get in my system?

Link to it on Newegg

I recently had a Zalman 9700 fan cooling system installed into my PC (I don't install everything myself, so just a note...I don't trust my abilities fully in not messing up =P). But, before that, my computer had been running for months with an empty liquid cooling system (because I didn't know that I was supposed to replace it...tho that wouldn't have mattered, because I found out that the system I had could NOT be re-filled). So, my current video card (Geforce 7900) got to go through a period of much crashing to blue screens and overheating while trying to run games like Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, World of Warcraft, Half Life 2, Counter Strike and Day of Defeat Source...not to mention freezing and lagging and weird colorful fragments on the screen while using my art programs (until I got the Zalman Fan in there instead...then everything started working fine).

Well, until recently. Every game I go into now has weird clipping, stretched textures and models, and eventually will crash to a blue screen. So, I'm really, really hoping that this is the video card's fault, and that I could buy the 8800 I linked above and hopefully solve my problem. I read users' comments, though, that it can get hot (and even raised one persons' system core temperature by 10 degrees). How likely is it that this new card will possibly give me the same problems? I have doubts that it will, considering my 9700 fan in there, as well as the fact that my motherboard in there is also new (got it installed to replace the old one a few months ago, and my computer is about 2 years old).

Here are some of my system specs:

Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+
You Have: 2.40 GHz Performance Rated at 6.90 GHz
2.0 GB System RAM
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO (GeForce 7900 GT/GTO), 256 MB
Video Card Driver Version (DirectX): 6.14.11.7519
DirectX version: 9.0c
