Go into your contoll panel and there should be an icon for your intel graphics , from there there should be a setting for it.

Also check in right click desktop/properties/settings/advanced and look through the tabs.

Just be aware that your GMA doesnt support SM3.0 which is required in bioshock; so although you may get it running, dont expect a great experience (eg approx 12fps) and be aware that it may crash at any time.

Re: can bioshock work on the intel graphics media accelerator x3100

On some game demo's , my pc does the same thing. I will start a game and only see black and it won't start. This is due to the fact I'm trying it on my old pc which only has 320mb of ram.

So I'm guessing its not starting because you don't have enough system or video ram.

Yes you are correct Emosun , however this was not always the case.

Make sure you have the latest drivers for the X3100 which provides support for SM3.0 and the latest DirectX installed. Please be aware however, your gaming expereince is likely to be quite poor.

You cannot upgrade videocards on laptops. The best thing I could think to try is call the manufacturer and ask how to increase the gpu's shared memory.
