Xfx Geforce Gtx260 XXX

I have bought a whole system new. Computer works fine and loads windows. The problem is that there are colour rectangles all over the screen from bios to windows. Sometimes there are few but most of the time the screen is covered. I have contacted xfx but they have not replied yet.
Any ideas on what may be the problem will be welcomed.

You have a nVidia GeForce GTX260, use link to driver download.

XFX just makes the card, not the drivers.

Hey there,
try with new graphic drivers...
If you have a spare graphic card, plug it and see if color rectangles will still appear...
Would be good to posy your system specifications...

Tagan 800watts power supply
Xfx geforce gtx260 xxx
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 Quad Core
Corsiar Dominator DDR2 4GB

I think the motherboard is defective.

No, that's the problem.

Now I got a reply from Xfx. They said that normally my problem would mean something wrong with the video card onboard memory but they check every graphic card they sell and the problem should be the motherboard.

I ordered another motherboard of the same model. I will have to wait until it arrives.

Tested another the video card in another system and it was the same with the colour rectangled. It was getting hot after seconds the computer was on. Maybe it was shorted. Sent for a refund. Bought two and they work perfectly.
