Gigabyte 8600gt play dota lag!

Anyone can tell me why i play dota will lag? I using Gigabyte 8600gt. Is this my 3D setting porblem?

Why are you still playing DOTA? DOTA II is out! I hear it does not lag. (Just kidding, I have no idea what game you are referring to)

Turn down your 3D settings in-game. The 8600GT is not top-of-the line, it's good'nuf so don't expect to be able to run on max quality.

any error message
check your tempretures and voltages in the bios and post them

Dota is a low graphic demanding game so it should not be your 8600GT's problem. This card is good enough to support it. Besides, many mid-range AGP cards can support DOTA too! Like dai has said, please post your pc specifications for a better solution.

Ok, tested and proven. 8600GT has no problem hosting DOTA. Even my friend's onboard Intel Extreme Graphic 2 can play DOTA will no lag. So yea, not your card's problem.

it needs to be cut in half
redo the paste on the cpu with some arctic silver

make sure the securing pegs lock down

Yea. Hot CPU will lead to underperforming. No wonder your game (even for DOTA) lags or crashes.
