Re: Graphics card won't show monitor
your power supply is low quality and underpowered for the system
this is the minimum you need http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...corsair%2b550w

Re: Graphics card won't show monitor
are you sure because i dont wanna go and replace stuff i don't need plus my mom wouldn't wanna spend that much so what im gonna do is replace the old Video card with this http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=4 and then just let my brother and mom just use the internet and then buy the parts for another LAN comp and see if the graphics card works and if it doesnt i'll no its faulty. And just buy another one but one more thing are you sur on that because in this stickie http://www.tech-forums.net/pc/f76/gu...builds-149038/ it recomends a 8800 GTX and the PSU is only 520 watts.

Re: Graphics card won't show monitor
the maximum load of your dual rails is 29a which equates out to have available approx 22-23amps
pcie requires a minimum of 26amps Power Supply Information and Selection

Re: Graphics card won't show monitor
Ok lets say the PSU wasn't giving the GPU enough power it would be able to supply enough to this though http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=4 which is a Asus EN8400GS 256M HDTV DVI PCI Express. By the way my psu at the moment has two
+12 v rails ones got 14 a the others got 15 a wouldn't this be alright because the 8600GT requires a minimum of 22 amps? |
