[SOLVED] Help with new GPU

I have a problem with games rapidly changing textures and locking up after just 2-3 minutes. I have all the latest drivers for motherboard, GPU and chipset.

My System:

C2d E6400
Xfx gf8800gt
2x 1gb Patriot 800mhz
450w powersupply(new)
Asus p5n-E(new)

*I am running just one hard drive(no dvd)
*Xp reinstalled with the new mobo
*Everything is the rigth temp during play, nothing exeeds normal.
*This happens in all games
*During 3dmark, the fps counter keeps counting frames(after textures get all mixed up)
*The pic is from 2 min gaming
*Fanspeed is pushed to max on the gpu(rivatuner)
*When the game lags, i can hear RPM changes from the GPU

Thank you for help!

Well that was a pretty easy find. You need a minimum of 600watts. 450 is nowhere near enough. The requirements for the card are always lowered so more people will buy them.

You will ned a 600w or higher psu with 26amps or more on the 12v rail. Stick to brands such as Antec's trio line , Thermaltake's toughpower line , corsair , silverstone or coolermaster.

Re: [SOLVED] Help with new GPU

Didnt work with new powersupply(Corsair 750w, the 650 was sold out). Same problem with textures rapidly changing and system crash. Solved the problem by placing the 8800gt in the street and running it over with a Jeep Wrangler..
