Problem running a software CD relating to 3D Graphics
Hi everyone, i recently baught this software:
Driving Test Success Practical CD Which includes interactive 3D simulator lessons. Before buying i read the specification in the small print and my computer has all that was needed to run the CD. Installing was ok no problems there however its the running of the software thats the problem. When i run the program i get alerted a message (i have a picture of the message alert bellow) telling me that there was a problem with the 3D graphics. When pressing ok it turnes off the whole software back to square one, im asuming this has to be related to my graphics card. My computer is a Packard Bell istart 1369, and here is the link to show you the specification of it: http://www.packardbell.co.uk/product...03701-802.html Please can you help this might not be a magour problem but it is stopping me from using it and this software in paticular is a great help to me Hope to be hearing from anyone Many Thanks Daniel |

Re: Problem running a software CD relating to 3D Graphics
Try lowering your screen resolution and color depth. I.E. 800X600 and 16 bit color, see if makes any difference.
What video card do you have?

Re: Problem running a software CD relating to 3D Graphics
Go to Start>Run > Type in "dxdiag" without the quotes press enter, select the
Display Tab Are Direct Draw Acceleration and 3D Acceleration enabled? if so run the Diagnostics test and let post back the results.

Re: Problem running a software CD relating to 3D Graphics
It appears you are running a generic VGA display driver Download and install the correct display driver for your PC from here http://support.packardbell.com/uk/it...9303701&g=2000
To correctly install the driver after you have downloaded it go into device manager and uinstall the current display driver > reboot tapping F8> Select VGA mode> Disable any Anti Virus/Mal-ware programs >install the driver and reboot. Let us know how you make out.
