Re: slow FPS with x850 pro

Yes , get a newer card. The x series is pretty old. Ati went one to make the 2000 , then 3000 , and now the 4000 series. You could also do with a faster cpu and ram.

Re: slow FPS with x850 pro

They probably are. But that mobo only support single core cpu's a regular ddr ram and agp cards. Thats whats slowing it down is the slower hardware.

Re: slow FPS with x850 pro

so you think the bottle neck is my mobo and cpu, not the video card. or would a better video card do the trick..what would be a good step up from a x850 pro..

Re: slow FPS with x850 pro

Your mobo , cpu , and vc are the bottle neck. And the best upgrade would be a new barbone. Meaning cpu ,mobo , vc and ram.

Re: slow FPS with x850 pro

Well you wouldn't have to since you would keep your old hdd , cd drive and case probably. I just wouldn't invest into an agp card or anything for the current setup as what you get will already be out of date and be stuck with that machine.
