Is Vtune Necessary For My Graphics Card?

Hi everyone,
I was just wandering if someone could please shed some light on somthing. I've just done a complete reinstall of my OS because I wanted to start again with a fresh less cluttered system. I only want to keep the essentials.

My question is do i really need to have Vtune installed? When installing my drivers for my Geforce 8600GT before I've always installed Vtune. Its my understanding that its monitors & changes fan speeds accordingly on my graphics card. If I dont have it installed does that mean my graphics card will over heat?

Re: Is Vtune Necessary For My Graphics Card?

Just leave it installed just in case , it probably doesnt use much space.
