Graphics card making high pitched noise
I just recently bought a new EVGA e-GeForce 9600 GSO, and whenever I put it into the video card slot, it makes this really high pitched noise and nothing appears on the screen. What is wrong?

Re: Graphics card making high pitched noise
I think I have the same problem, my XFX GeForce 8800GT is making a really loud, high pitched noise whenever I power up my computer, and nothing happens. When I remove my graphics card there's no noise. If the solution is to plug in the 6pin PCI-E cable, could you tell me what exactly that is? Cause the card was fine before, but after I sent it to the shop (my card not included, cause I didnt get it at that shop) its making the noise.
Thanks. |
