Accidently inactivated graphicscard in XP
I inactivated the graphicscard and now I only get a black screen after bios when booting. Sometimes i get to the windowslogo bootscree,n but not past that. Is there anyway to activate it again?
The motherboard only have the wrong kind of VGA output(the one with pins instead of holes) and i have no adapter. |

Re: Accidently inactivated graphicscard in XP
Hi, welcome to TSF
How did you 'inactivate' the graphics card? What make/model is the card? Can you boot into Windows Safe Mode? Are you now using the onboard graphics or the same card? If you need a VGA-DVI adapter, they are very cheap.

Re: Accidently inactivated graphicscard in XP
I deactivated it though the "device manager". I did that beacause the computer didnt find the card but still, I was able to plug my monitor into the graphicscard. The devicemanager would only show a yellow question mark in the device manager. So i didnt know what card it was except that it was a 5 year old Nvidia.
But you can shut down the thread now, because the harddrive died when i tried to format it. Thx anyway. |
