Re: SLi Question

You it wont work in SLI because you need the same model.

8800ultra with another 8800ultra

or

8800gtx with another 8800gtx

Re: SLi Question

yup, what HawMan said.

Model is the only thing that has to match, manufacturer does not (Ex. eVGA 8800 Ultra and ASUS 8800 Ultra are SLI capatable)

Re: SLi Question

Thanks for all replies and info

psu should be ok: Dell 750W. Specifications:

MODEL: H750P-00
DC OUTPUT:
+5V=/16A , +3.3v=/30A
+12VA=/18A , +12VB=/18A
+12VC=/18A , +12VD=/16A
-12V=/0.2A , +5Vfp=/3A

I know Dell aint the best make but it has decent amps on the 12v rails and the PSU is designed to run SLi.

Re: SLi Question

For a single 8800GTX you require 32A on the 12V line. To run SLI on these cards you will require at least 48A - 60A depending on what else you have on your system.
So you will be looking for a PSU with about 800W-900W with a 12V @ 60A.
