is a Ge force 8600 512mb compatibe with my computer
Hi could someone please help me. Im interested in playing the Call of Duty 4 game for pc, however my computer isnt compatible yet. I have been told to get 1gb of ram and a Graphics card. Could someone please see if a Ge force 8600 512mb will be compatible with my computer and also any additional hardware that i will need to run the game with no problems and smoothly.
Also i am not looking to pay loads for harware so what is the cheapest option. And my computer is a Packard Bell istart 1369 Thanks Daniel |

you will need the agp version of the card and your power supply will need to supply a min of 18amps on the 12v+ line

Re: is a Ge force 8600 512mb compatibe with my computer
after a quick google search, im pretty sure your comp takes a PCI-E card, not an agp as stated above... also your going to want to make sure the power supply has sufficient wattage to support the card... the card requires a minimum of 400w, it doesnt hurt to go higher though.

From http://www.packardbell.co.uk/product...03701-802.html
Graphics Chipset ATI Radeon™ Xpress 200 Integrated on motherboard or on AGP Slot Integrated Size of the shared memory 128MB If the link above is in fact your PC then you have an AGP slot.
