Any ideas plz
ill try and keep it as simple as i can, installing new graphics card 8500gt
in a packbell 2489 imedia running vista, im getting the following bsod message 0x0000000a5 acpi before vista loads, pc has 2 gb in already now if i take one out it boots fine and as soon as i but it back in bsod again, ive tried flashing bios changing memory sticks and taken everything out reseated and tried just using the min parts and nothing but a bsod,it doesnt say but is it possible that the card is pci 2.0 and i need to flash the card maybe or is the problem else where, just a note i tried the xfx 8400gt 512mb and it works fine then i tried a xfx 8600gt 512mb and had the same issues as the 8500gt is this a clue to whats going on? thanks for any ideas Last edited by saintecho01; 06-26-2008 at 07:39 PM. |

Re: Any ideas plz
Is the BIOS an ACPI BIOS or can you make it ACPI? You may need to upgrade the BIOS to run this card. As far as I can tell it may not be.
