Decent Video Card (PCI-E)

Hey guys, I have a quick question whats a good video card, for my system I recently encountered some trouble with my xfx 7600gt gddr3, its kept the cpu running at high temps and also began having my monitor losing signal, soo i swtiched it back to onboard and everything is working fine I'm using an antec earthwatts 500 psu which i got last week. Just wanted to know whats a decent video card that wont cause havoc, but can run battlefield 2 fine and wont effect my cpu's temp?

Specs
AMD 64 x2 4600
2gig DDR2 800mhz
MSI K9VGM-V VIA K8M890 chipset

Re: Decent Video Card (PCI-E)

Heres what mobo I have http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p...VGM-V&class=mb, just want a video card that would run decently on this board without effecting the cpu temps, I have a amd 64x2 4600 with 2gig ddr2 800mhz, or should i just get a new mobo? I also have an antec earthwatts 500.

Re: Decent Video Card (PCI-E)

I dont think its so much the graphics card heating up the CPU but just the overall temperature of your system. What case fans do you have? Have you the cables tied and out the way? If you don't find the actual problem relating to this, then buying a new 3d accelerated card is jus gonna giv you the same problems.

Well at the moment my system temp is at 35c understress, I have a 120mmm pushing in cool air from the fron't panel I have a 80mmm working as an exhaust, have another 80mm directly where the video card is suppose to be mounted in cool air, and a 120 overhead also.
But i should be allsett the problem was solved one of the outputs of the video card was bad switched it to the second one worked fine, so i'm going to need a new gpu, will be looking into nvidia 8600 edition card,. Thanks for the help and suggestions guys!

Re: Decent Video Card (PCI-E)

Try to get one with ddr3 , and avoid the cheaper ddr2 versions.
