need some more help plz
well after spending an entire afternoon i managed to get my 7950 gx2s running in quad sli.
the problem is im not getting any real performance increase. as a reference i play cod4, with the single gx2 i manage 85fps (i use v sync) and sometimes drop to about 30fps depending on the map. im still getting those fps with quad sli. if i turn off v-sync then i can average 150fps but i still get those horrible drops down to 30fps. im just wondering could it be my cpu holding things up? ive checked everything else. temps are fine, both cards are working fine too. i have tried older drivers but that made things worse. my specs are... amd 64 X2 4200 2.21gig 2gig ocz ram quad sli 7950 gx2 1000w psu SB audigy se Last edited by Mooncatt; 06-25-2008 at 10:00 AM. |

Re: need some more help plz
the problem with SLI is that the more cards (cores) you add, the less each new card increases performance. In otherwards it doesn't scale well.
