Confused. XFX? eVGA?
Hey, I'm new here, so if I'm doing something wrong, sorry haha. Also, sorry if this sounds too noob.
This is my first time buying parts and assembling a computer and I was wondering what the significance of the thing before the name of the video card is. Is there a difference between a XFX GeForce 8800 GT and an eVGA GeForce 8800 GT? |

Re: Confused. XFX? eVGA?
Oooh wait, sorry about that, didn't realize all these guys were motherboard manufacturers; never heard of XFX, PNY and Diamond. So only eVGA video cards are compatible with eVGA mobos, is that right? Or am I still wrong.

Re: Confused. XFX? eVGA?
They're different companies that both made the same chip just each with some slight differences. There's XFX, eVGA, and Albatron. This link will give you an idea of the differences.
http://www.legitreviews.com/article/648/1/ I would assume that eVGA would only be compatible with eVGA but I'm not 100% sure on that.
