Need help deciding between GTX280/9800gx2

I plan on building a high end gaming machine, so obviously the gpu is probably my most important decision.
So I'm stuck in a hard decision.
To start with, I can either have:
2 9800GX2's running in SLI
or
1 GTX280 with the option of upgrading to 2 in SLI over the course of a couple of months.
I will be running the cards on nForce 790i Ultra board.

My main question (and no, it's not a joke), will I be able to play crysis at a resolution of 1920x1200 on high (or super high) settings at an fps of 50+?? or am I aiming to high? [This would be before the addition of a second GTX280 which i would hope handle it]

running two 9800 series at 1920 x 1200 you can hold around 50 fps but thats with NO aa turned on. turn it upto 4 x AA and on high settings the fps will drop like a rock. the 280's will kick it up a little higher but not much. i'm running two 8800 gtx's in SLI mode and i can get around 50 + fps on medium settings and 4 x AA..... with no skipping. Crysis is a ***** of a game too run and god knows ppl have tried to push the fps. even running 3 and 4 way SLI it can only be had to around 65 fps.

id go with the 9800s m8, i run 2 7950 gx2s and it runs everything brilliantly apart from cod4 where it can be anything from 40-250 fps. so get em in quad sli and your laughing i reckon
