Error when trying to load game please help

Hi i am trying to play champ manager but i keep getting the error "Direct3D failed to initialize - please ensure that you have a Direct3D compatible card and driver."

Iv made sure im completley up to date and i have run dxdiag but im stumped can someone please help Iv attached the dxdiag results if that helps thanks in advance

That game requires a directx 9 video card , you have a geforce 4.

Yes, also , your machine is more geared tword xp and not vista , vista is probably takeing up a third of its power , your should condersider changeing back to xp.

It would actually be best to install xp and not have vista at all on that machine. Or you could get a new machine. I just wouln't upgrade that one.

Right gonna reinstall xp what graphics card would be best to play latest games on my machine cant afford new machine at the moment

seen the The GeForce™ FX5200 on ebay which says directx9 is this compatible m8

I would get somthing like a 2600 pro agp. Fx5200 is also old.

yeah avoid vista like the plague. ill buy......eventually once all the crap has been sorted out.
if you running agp, and if you can get your hands on one, then try out the 6800 ultra. i thought that was a brilliant card. if not then might be worth considering the X series ati cards, as i understand it you can get a 1650pro for about £50 now.

6800 ultra actually would need a non standard psu.
