Trying to hook up dual monitors help!!

hey guys trying to hook up duel monitors on my vista comp. I took a picture of my video card to see if it will work with my computer. I know i need a dvi thing, but not sure if this will work

the right one is the one i normally hook my monitor up to

There should have been a cord that came with your computer that connects with the one on the left into another monitor. If not, I'm sure you can buy one. Mines the same way except the connectors go in it, instead of the other way around.

Just be sure that the cord connects with the 2nd monitor and is compliant with the slot on the card.

also the left one says serial port. and no it never came any another cord.

I'm not seeing a DVI port, only 1 VGA port from an onboard graphics system.
I think you will need to invest in a dual port video card if you want run 2 monitors.
And no you can't hook a monitor up to a serial port.

how much are dual port video cards? and can i instal that into my computer? is it hard to do? or do i need to take it into a shop?

What are your full specs If OEM Brand and complete model number If Custom motherboard, CPU, Power supply make, model and wattage
Also what is your primary useage Gaming,graphics or other
And what are you trying to achieve with the dual monitor set up.

On-board graphics adapters dont support Dual screen. You will require a Graphics card with two DVI adapters that specifically support Dual monitors.
