OS: windows xp home edition

DVD's won't play
I don't play movies very often but today I tried and nothing would appear. I ran a test and got the following message: Intel (R) 82865G Graphic Controller error code 0611-202.
I also had a message that said Direct 3D functionality not available and finally a thoird message that said sound card does not support hardware buffering only software buffering. How can I get my movies to play again? I'm a novice and need help. Thanks
