Will this 9600GT work with my mobo?
Hello all. My 7900 is starting to go haywire, so I need a new card. Here is the card I've been thinking about getting: http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/...tionId=2037707
Will this card work with my mobo? Here are the specs for it: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=1916 Thanks! |

Re: Will this 9600GT work with my mobo?
it should work, but the card will be bottlenecked by your mobo's PCIe1 slot, you might want to look into upping to a mobo with a PCIe2 slot
another thing to consider is that the 9 series nvidia cards tend to draw a lot of power compaired to most cards, so your PSU may have issues with it, and your mobo may not be able to supply the power through the PCIe1 slot. on the surface though, it looks like it SHOULD work. |

Re: Will this 9600GT work with my mobo?
The 9600 is a pci-e 2.0 card. If your pci-e slots are not the 1.1 revision then it will not work. Also if your current gpu is going haywire then I'd like to know what psu you have in the system.
