GeForce 8800 GTX with ASUS M2R32-MVP problem
Hello,
I just built a computer, and whenever I exit the BIOS it just beeped one continuous beep without restarting or turning off (when you exit you tell it to restart). I would have to turn it off manually to stop it. Turns out when i remove the 8800 GTX from the system, it works just fine, I can exit BIOS and it works fine etc... etc... Question: What could be causing this? I know there are two possibilities: 1) either a compatibility issue (which shouldn't be the case, but might be since I'm idiotically mixing AMD processor and motherboard socket, with GeForce Graphics Card. 2) There is something wrong with my Graphics card. If anyone has come across this problem before, and can tell me how it was resolved, or what turned out to be the problem, I would appreciate it. (I will soon be testing the 8800 GTX on another system and checking if it has the same problem on there, if it doesn't I'm going to have to assume it's a compatibility issue, and probably get another Video Card... ) Any ATI recommendations? If it comes to that, I'll want the top of the line ATI card? PCI-E Thanks |
