Video Card Upgrade

I have a dell inspiron 531s. I want to upgrade the graphics card for gaming, which also means I need to upgrade the power supply. I haven't really been able to find a card or a PSU that would fit the case. If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated.

Re: Video Card Upgrade

Welcome to tsf.

Since that pc is slimline they do not make high powered videocards that would even fit in that case. Thus you won't be needing a new powersupply. The only card that are availible that are ok for gaming would be the 8500 slim or the rare 8600 slim.

Re: Video Card Upgrade

Are you sure I don't need to upgrade the PSU? It's only 250 W. And do you know where i can get either of those cards?

Re: Video Card Upgrade

You won't be able to upgrade the psu. And either cards should be available on ebay.

but note the 8500 doesnt come with a low profile bracket
