New MSI NX8800 GT OC causing shut downs...
Hi all
I'm running Vista 64 SP 1. I have an Antec P180 case with excellent airflow. A Nvidia nForce 680i SLI Mobo and a 750w Thermalake PSU. I previously had an INNO3D 8800GTS 320MB video card and I've just replaced that with an MSI NX8800 Gt 512 OC card but it just keeps shutting my PC down. I can't figure out if it's a heat issue or a driver issue. the shutdowns happen randomly and the rig seems to work better if windows is in 'safe mode' (although it still eventually shuts down in that) Although the card is defo an MSI NX8800 GTS the card 'fan' looks nothing like the photo I ordered. The card I got the fan is open so i'm wondering if i have an older batch of cards that somehow conflicts with vista 64. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in a |
