ive searched, so please dont punish me too hard

i have a dell inspiron 531s with the standard video card that it comes with, but upgraded the monitor when i purchased the system, but the idiots at the store didnt tell me the upgraded monitor wouldnt run smooth with the video card that comes with the system

apparently its hard to find a good 'pci express slimline' video card thats good for this system? or i cant find one because i suck at computer tech

Re: 531s inspiron video card

Due to the pc being slimline there are no high end gpu's for it but there exist midrange ones that will play games ok.

Note that some do not come with low profile brackets but they can be purchased separately for only a couple bucks.

Re: 531s inspiron video card

so i usually hear the higher the number the better the quality when it comes to video cards depending on the brand

so would the 8400 be the best quality?

im looking for the best gameplay i can get, regardless of price

Re: 531s inspiron video card

Yea the 8400 is the best you could get for it for that. There all low end cards which is the best you can get in slimline. The midrange and high end cards are full sized.
