Help!! Problems with my new GeForce 8500 GT
Help I'm a complete hardware gizmo newbie....
I just bought a new motherboard Tyan n3600b with two Opteron 2214 processor and GeForce 8500 GT. There was no OS inside it at first. When I first turn my computer on, at start up, the display on my monitor is covered by white dots but I can still see the writings. It's the same when I entered BIOS. I installed windows vista, But the problem at startup doesn't go away and every time in windows the screen is covered by pink lines. Also, before I enter windows, machine language shows up on the screen. I tried changing monitors but it's the same. Is something wrong with the graphic card? Pleeeeeeease tell me what is wrong ... |

i canot find anything for the agile brand
what amps is it putting out on the 12v+ line see if you can get someone to try the card in their computer to check if it is the same see if you can borrow a quality 550-650w psu to try in yours

Re: Help!! Problems with my new GeForce 8500 GT
dai is right. I've had a similar problem with video card ram. Pretty soon u'll have to replace or RMA the card. Or maybe it's the psu, i dont know. like dai said, trying it out on another machine is your best bet.

Re: Help!! Problems with my new GeForce 8500 GT
Thank you very much guys... I tried the card on another machine, and the same problem popped out, I think it's the video card... I just hope my power supply didn't cause this...Thank you for the advices ... Do you think that it is possible that the video card broke because of my power supply has a lower wattage than required?

Re: Help!! Problems with my new GeForce 8500 GT
i cannot find a listing for the power supply so there is no way of checking it's suitability
but i would expect to find a quality 650-750w in there being pcie and twin cpu's
