[SOLVED] Cooling an NVidia GEForce card....

Allo folks

My PC has an NVidia GeForce 8400 GS which, with it's own built-in fan, runs between 50C-54C.

I tried reading up on several heatsink/fans that could fit, but I got a bit overloaded with specs and fittings for multiple cards. 'X' cooler will fit this and that card, but not another one, but 'Y' card has better specs, but.... - and so on

Can anyone recommend a good quality budget-priced fan that will definitely fit this card, ideally available in the UK?

50~54C is fine, don't worry about overheating. If you're intent on replacing it, go with a quality heatsink and fan combo from either Arctic Cooling or Zalman.

Yea , 8400 doesn't really need anything better then the stock cooler.

Re: Cooling an NVidia GEForce card....

Righto then, either someone mentioned, or I read somewhere that 50C-55C was getting a bit close to the upper-end tolerances for this card, so I wuz wondering about cooling it down a bit.

I clean the PC internals about once a month (Mrs WereBo is very much into 'textile crafts' which produce enough dust-bunnies to populate a small planet ), so that helps to keep the overall temps down.

Thanks guys, that's saved me some money that can be spent on other worthwhile stuff
