NVIDA GeForce FX 5200 problems
I am having problems with my NVIDA GeForce FX 5200 display adapter. Windows kept shuting down and I could only start up in the safe mode. I got the Blue Screen with two different 'stop' errors (0xD1 & 0xEA). So, I downloaded and reinstalled the display driver. Now I can start Windows normally, but the NVIDA GeForce FX 5200 display adapter can not start "because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damamged (code 19)." When I tried to uninstall and reinstall the adapter, windows shuts down. I believe I need to replace the adapter, but I'm not sure what to buy? TOO many choices.

Re: NVIDA GeForce FX 5200 problems
Boot into Safe Mode; tap F8 during the boot screen. Uninstall the drivers from there, then run Driver Cleaner: http://www.drivercleaner.net/
Reboot normally into Windows, install the latest driver from the NVIDIA website and reboot. |
