Computer Problem With the Image

Hi,

Re: Computer Problem With the Image

austinh43,

Just for grins, try right-clicking on a blank spot on your Windows Desktop, left-click on Properties, click on the "Settings" tab at the top, then click on the "Troubleshoot" button. From there, crank down your Hardware Acceleration" settings one notch at a time (reboot between changes) and see if the problem persists.

If lowering or completely disabling the video display's Hardware Acceleration settings causes this problem to go away, then you've either got:

1) Buggy or incompatible Video Display drivers installed

2) Incompatible BIOS settings (i.e. shadowing, memory timing, video acceleration, etc.)

Try this and see if you have any luck.

- John

Re: Computer Problem With the Image

at this stage no one has said it is a power supply problem
the details give us a picture of what we are dealing with
you have the computer in front of you,we only see it by what you post

Re: Computer Problem With the Image

And what power supply are you using? It has to be capable of 18A on the +12V rail for an AGP card like the 9800.
