Mistake Help! something is wrong with my video card!

I recently upgraded my video card from a nvidea geforce 7600 gs 256mb to a ati radeon x850xt 512 mb card. But now none of my games work! All my games either crash or dont even start! does anyone know what is wrong and/or how i can fix it?

my specs are as follows:
gigabyte GA-81945gzme-rh mother board
intel 945gz dual core processor (2.66 gh)
1 gb ram

i dont know any more about my pc, but i could find out if someone tells me what to look for -.-

Re: Help! something is wrong with my video card!

check whether your pc is detecting your card or not.
check whether you have installed the driver properly.try re installing.
check whether you have seated the card properly in position.
best of luck

Check that you've plugged in the external power connector.
