Cool GeForce 6200 v.s. Radeon 9550

Which is better for budget gaming the ATI Radeon 9550 AGP or the BFG GeForce 6200 OC AGP. The GeForce 6200 come stock overclocked and has higher frequencies than the 9550. But, the 9550 has faster memory. Which would be better for gaming. I looked at benchmarks and they seemed pretty even, but in some games 9550 was better. I am using the 9550, but I will switch to the 6200 if I need to, I need stable graphics until I get my Radeon HD 2400 Pro AGP.

Re: GeForce 6200 v.s. Radeon 9550

A Radeon 9550 and a factory overclocked 6200 are pretty much neck to neck performance-wise. There's no point in switching to a 6200.

Stay with the 9550 until you get the 2400 pro. Btw the 2400 pro isn't a gaming card, more made for hd movie playback and so on.

Ok thanx for the tips. Just one more thing, does the Radeon HD 2400 Pro AGP allow me to play DirectX10. I think I read it somewhere, but I wasnt sure.
