Which Card?

I recently bought the sims 2 but to improve my computers performance while playing I want to make a few changes to my system.

I'm not really a gamer or a computer expert, but I've narrowed down my video card selection to one of the Nvidia Geforce 7300's or one of the Nvidia Geforce 8500's. I'm upgrading from a Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE.

Purely in terms of reducing lag, not in terms of how the game looks, which card is my best bet?

The 8500 will give you the biggest increase, though it'll be rather underpowered by most standards.

Fair enough, but since I'm not a gamer or computer guy, my budget for a video card is extremely low. Do you have any suggestions of a similarly priced card with better performance?
