[SOLVED] radeon 9600 grrrrr
ok here it is ive got the 7.1 catylast drivers installed i can play games for about 10 mins then it goes to a black screen, then the screen goes off and have to reboot im getting sick and tired of this graphic card should of chosen nivida
system specs : AMD sepron 3100+ (1:80GhZ)1gp of RAM graphic card radeon 9600 driver 7.1 |

usually you enter the bios by pressing the delete key in the post screens
it will say which key on one of the screens then on the advanced tab look for hardware monitoring or some similar wording and post the voltages and tempretures listed

ok ill look now and my case is the thermal take soprano cooling case when it crashes its extreamly hot and i the graphic card fan thats on there doesnt work tomorrow ill go to the shop and see if i can get a new fan =\

they look ok to
put your new fan on and see if that fixes it if not see if you can get a friend to try the card in their computer to check it try a psu with more amps output on the 12v+ line

The BIOS is some software which is built into your motherboard. Flashing the BIOS means burning a new version of that software into a chip on the motherboard. Flashing the motherboard BIOS is usually a safe procedure but it can kill the motherboard if done improperly (or if the machine crashes during the procedure) so you really don't do it unless you need to.
Having a dead fan on a video card will definitely cause the symptom you're seeing. I wouldn't do anything including flash the motherboard BIOS until you get that fixed. That last thing you need is a crash while flashing the motherboard. That will make things much worse. Last edited by UncleMacro; 04-20-2008 at 04:57 PM. |
