HELP, I screwed up display
Ive messed up, very badly, worse than usual. Basically i was attempting to connect my PC to my HD Television and heres what happened:
Connected everything:Bios screen, windows loading screen, blackness... Hit F10 on reboot to enter setup: Messed up and accidentally put the video output to integrated! Rebooted: Nothing...computer working but the screen is black. Don't even get the bios screen with that tacky intel logo anymore My question is two fold: 1. Is there a key set which I can press on start up to automatically put the output back to how it was. 2. If yes, anyone got any suggestions on how i could stop getting blackness after the loading screen and actually see my desktop? thanks, Simnol PC: HP, m9085 gforce 8800 gts quad core xp professional 64 bit tv: JVC 40" HD, NB. ive connected my computer via the standard pc port on it. |

Re: HELP, I screwed up display
Well to reset your video , remove the clock battery from the motherboard for five minutes while the computer is unplugged. This will reset your bios back to factory settings.
You will then need to plug your pc monitor back in , boot up , then plug in your tv along with the pc monitor to the other port on the card. It will then detect the tv and you will need to go into your nvidia setting and activate the tv and set it as the primary monitor. Move all your icons and start bar to the tv, then disable the pc monitor in the nvidia settings (or you can also use the windows settings in the properties / settings tab.
