Sony XBR4 & Nvidia
Hey I am using a Nvidia 8800 GTS through the DVI-HMDMI cord and having an issue where after it loads the BIOS I get a blank screen and am not sure why. I have heard there is a way to get around this and make the television work with that graphics card but I am unsure as to what to do.
If I can get this to work then I am very curious as to what cord hookup to use and what quality I will get(looking for 1920x1080 resolution). Would it be a better idea to just buy an ATI graphics card with an HDMI port on it? Any help is greatly appreciated thanks. Oh and I have tried S-Video just to see if it works and it does, but the image quality is horrid. Thankyou for any help. Does this problem start with Nvidia or Sony? |

Re: Sony XBR4 & Nvidia
Ok I have realized that if I unplug the DVI cord from the graphics card during the BOIS screen and plug it back in while it attempts to load Windows then I get a picture and everything works fine. The only problem is when I restart I have to redo that and it is very annoying. Is there anyway to work around this by using a different cord or hookup, keep in mind I am trying to stay at 1920x1080 resolution on the PC. The graphic card has 2 DVI port and 1 S-video. Should I just switch to ATI, thinking about just buying a 3870 at this point.
